Police raid club bar, injuring fans
By: Mike | July 6th, 2009After a recent music festival in Hamburg this past Saturday night, police raided the club’s unofficial bar, the Jolly Roger, and hit partygoers and fans with batons and sprayed pepper spray. Reports are hard to believe, as both the police and the rioters blame each other for touching off the riots, but the only sure thing is that there was certainly no rioting going on inside the Jolly Roger, and the police had no reason to use such excessive force.
Demonstrations against the police’s alleged brutality are planned for tomorrow in Hamburg.

Important: The injured (especially Hossa) need quite a bit of money for surgery and lawyers for the court case against the police that will follow. People came up with various ideas to raise money, most notably selling stuff on ebay for the cause, a solidarity match between the womens team of Altona 93 and FC St Pauli and a starting a bank account for people wanting to donate money directly. we all don’t have much money but give what we can. Every donation is more then welcome!
Solidarity is a weapon!
